Giving Back

Lowell Light & Power believes in giving back! Here are a few of the ways we support our community.

  • Storytime at KDL Lowell – reading “If I Were a Lineworker” book to young kids
  • Safety Town at Impact Church – teaching kindergarteners about electrical safety
  • Lowell High School Career Fair – speaking to teenagers about an exciting career as an electrical lineworker
  • Setting up the Showboat stage for the Summer Concert Series
  • Pink Arrow supporters – donating time to hang banners each year and helping with electrical needs for the events
  • Energy Saving Trees giveaway
  • Power Fest – community open house at our Energy Center with various activities and demos
  • Lowell Harvest Celebration – host free pumpkin decorating
  • Christmas Tree Light Installation on Main Street in downtown Lowell
  • Christmas Tree Light Installation at the Lowell Litehouse YMCA
  • Trees to Trails – Recycling Christmas trees into chips for the Wittenbach Center trails
  • Lowell Santa Parade participants
  • Adopt-A-Road cleanup on Alden Nash
  • Creekside Kingdom rebuild
  • Volunteering in the community

In addition to giving back to our own community, LL&P provides Mutual Aid to other communities when there are large outages and widespread damage. We have assisted communities impacted by Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Sandy and more.
